Google has reportedly invested $2 billion in artificial intelligence firm Anthropic, joining tech giants like Microsoft and Amazon in backing AI leaders. The investment, which includes $500 million now and up to $1.5 billion later, is part of a developing proxy war between rival companies vying for dominance in the AI space.
