OpenAI’s Large Language Models (LLMs) are evolving with MetaGPT, a multi-agent system that combines Standardized Operating Procedures (SOPs) with LLMs. MetaGPT uses meta-programming techniques to manipulate, analyze, and transform code in real-time, creating an agile software architecture. It also introduces a two-layered architecture for effective collaboration and task decomposition, and cognitive agents for active learning. The system outperforms other advanced code generation tools, achieving an 81.7% to 82.3% Pass@1 rate on HumanEval and MBPP benchmarks.
