Nvidia is set to revolutionize personal computing with the launch of Project Digits, a personal AI supercomputer, in May. Powered by the new GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, Project Digits boasts the capability to run sophisticated AI models with up to 200 billion parameters, all from a device compact enough to fit on a desk and operate on standard power. Starting at $3,000, this desktop system is designed to make AI technology accessible to millions of developers, data scientists, AI researchers, and students.
Project Digits features 128GB of unified memory, up to 4TB of NVMe storage, and can be linked with another unit to handle up to 405 billion parameters LLMs (Meta’s best model, Llama 3.1, has 405 billion parameters). The GB10 chip delivers up to 1 petaflop of AI performance and incorporates Nvidia’s latest CUDA cores and Tensor Cores. Developed in collaboration with MediaTek, the system emphasizes power efficiency and high performance.
Additionally, users will have access to Nvidia’s comprehensive AI software library, support for popular development frameworks, and the ability to deploy AI models to cloud services or data center infrastructure. This launch follows Nvidia’s introduction of the Jetson Orin Nano Super, a more affordable AI computer for hobbyists and startups, emphasizing Nvidia’s commitment to making AI technology widely available.
