Sony has unveiled the PlayStation 5 Pro, a significant upgrade over the original PlayStation 5, set to launch on November 7 for $700. This new version promises higher frame rates and better resolution, featuring a 2TB solid-state drive and an optional Ultra HD Blu-Ray disc drive. The PS5 Pro aims to deliver the high-quality graphics and 60 fps performance that game developers and players desire, thanks to a more powerful GPU with up to 45% faster rendering, 67% more compute units, and 28% faster video RAM. Enhanced titles like “Spider-Man 2” and “Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart” will showcase improved visuals and smoother gameplay. Additionally, the PS5 Pro introduces PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) for better upscaling and supports a “PS5 Pro Game Boost” for older titles. This release follows the pattern of the mid-generation PS4 Pro upgrade, offering a more potent gaming experience without replacing the existing game library.
