A persistent bug in Mozilla’s Firefox browser, which caused tooltips to linger on the screen, has finally been fixed after 20 years. The bug was resolved by Yifan Zhu, a PhD student with no prior experience in open-source projects, who decided to tackle the issue himself. The fix has been implemented in the latest Firefox build 119.
